Kanji Patch creates modern Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) quilt patterns inspired by the elegant geometry of Japanese kanji and the quiet simplicity of Scandinavian design.
Each pattern is crafted to offer clarity, balance, and a beautiful sewing experience—whether you are a confident beginner or an experienced quilter.
All designs are original and thoughtfully developed by Shizuka Uchida,
an award-winning quilt pattern designer with over 20 years of experience in editorial typography and geometric design.

How it work
Foundation Paper Piecing in 3 Simple Step
Step 1: Print & Prepare
Download the PDF pattern, print it at 100 percent scale, and cut the sections.
Use thin paper for easier tearing.

Step 2: Sew Along the Lines
Place fabric pieces right sides together and sew directly on the printed lines.
